After catching up on Raw last night, one thing became apparent: Chad Gable is a star!
Gable, with his unique blend of athleticism and technical prowess, has garnered significant attention since his heel turn. The comparisons to Kurt Angle are inevitable, but Gable’s individuality shines through. His mic skills, a rare find in the wrestling world, further set him apart.
I am ashamed of myself for not noticing Gable’s talent earlier. For most of the 2010s, I stopped watching pro wrestling. Mainly, I was a mature-age student and couldn’t afford to have pay TV (cable TV for American readers), and I spent a lot of my time at work, university, or catching up on sleep. It was around 2017 that I started to watch it again with the goal of becoming a wrestling journalist.

Looking back, I was ashamed of myself to think this. The higher-ups at WWE at the time almost wasted a wrestler who has endless potential, and it’s probably because he doesn’t have a six in his height (Gable is five foot eight).
As the feud with Uncle Howdy and the Wyatt Sicks draws to a close, it’s imperative that Gable is given the push he deserves for a singles title. While the Intercontinental Championship would be a good start, the World or Undisputed WWE Championships would truly showcase his potential.
