A little while back, Sporting News Australia reported that All Elite Wrestling executives were in Australia checking out stadiums for a show in 2025. Well, they have made their decision.
Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane beat out Allianz, and Marvel Stadium will host AEW Grand Slam Australia on February 15. The announcement was made during today’s AEW event, All In, which was held at Wembley Stadium.
The WWE has been to Australia before, with their last event held at Optus Stadium in Perth this year. When World Championship Wrestling was still around, they toured Australia in 2000, with the Brisbane Entertainment Centre as one of the destinations. TNA wrestling (Then called Impact Wrestling) also stopped in my hometown of Wagga Wagga in 2023.
Tickets for AEW Aussie debut go on sale on September 13.
